Paws Explore: Money enables children to consolidate their money handling skills in this title for 6-8 year olds. Guided by the two Paws Explore characters, children begin by recognising the value of coins and notes and exchanging these for smaller amounts of coins. The players are expected to use their problem solving skills to deal with monetary amounts in different contexts, as well as using the correct decimal notation for money. Throughout the program, text is fully narrated and pupil progress tracked, to provide reporting facilities in the extensive teacher’s section. An interactive whiteboard section is included with screens for class teaching, as well as printable worksheets for use away from the computer. The teacher can also choose to change the currency from British pounds to Euros, Australian dollars or American dollars.
